Product Description

Lacey carbon films are similar to the holey carbon films in that they have open areas but because of the fine lacey mesh structure they offer a greater percentage of open area in comparison (see micrograph). They provide the thinnest possible support film while maintaining adequate strength and give practically no background interference in the TEM. As much of the specimen is unsupported, these films are appropriate for use where a structure free background is of importance. Lacey carbon films are particularly suitable for studying some nanotubes, acicular crystals and biological/materials specimens.

Supplied as 25 or 50 grids in a grid box.

Lacey carbon support films can be applied to other grid sizes, material or type. Further details available on request.

Superior Support for TEM Specimens

Lacey carbon films provide exceptional support for ultra-thin sections, fragments, and small particles. Their unique lace structure enhances specimen stability during imaging while maintaining high electron transparency, contributing to clearer and more precise results in Transmission Electron Microscopy.

Strict Quality Control and Clean Handling

Every grid is individually inspected to ensure uniformity, grid integrity, and cleanliness. Packaged in anti-static, dust-free containers, each grid is separated to prevent contamination, providing a reliable and ready-to-use platform for demanding research environments.

Robust Performance and Versatile Applications

With strong thermal stability and electrical conductivity, the copper H7 grids are suitable for repeated electron beam exposure. These grids meet international standards and are compatible with standard TEM holders, making them an excellent choice for microscopy, nanotechnology, and analytical labs.

FAQs of Lacey Carbon Films on H7 finder grid. Copper (Pack of 25):

Q: How are Lacey Carbon Films on H7 finder grids manufactured?

A: These grids are produced by vacuum evaporating high-purity carbon film onto a 300-mesh H7 copper finder grid. Each grid is then individually inspected for uniformity, ensuring optimal performance for electron microscopy applications.

Q: What is the primary use for these Lacey Carbon Films on copper grids?

A: They are designed for supporting ultra-thin sections and small fragments during Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) sample preparation, ensuring reliable imaging and high particle retention.

Q: When should I use these grids in my workflow?

A: These grids should be used whenever meticulous support and electron transparency are essential, particularly during specimen mounting and high-resolution TEM imaging in nanotechnology or sample analysis research.

Q: Where are these Lacey Carbon Films on H7 grids manufactured?

A: These grids are manufactured in India and conform to international TEM specimen preparation standards.

Q: What is the process for preparing specimens on these grids?

A: Simply mount your specimen onto the cleaned, ready-to-use carbon film surface using standard TEM techniques. Each grid is individually separated to minimize contamination and ensure optimal mounting conditions.

Q: What benefits do these grids offer compared to standard options?

A: They feature high thermal stability, excellent particle retention, and minimized charging effects thanks to the pure copper base. The lacey structure also improves transparency and support for a range of specimen types.
