Product Description

A range of diamond abrasive strips and sheets with resin-bonded polishing powder on a polyester backing. Waterproof bonding ensures that polishing particles remain fixed to the backing, avoiding unwanted scratches on the surface being prepared. Also available with aluminium oxide and silicon carbide powders.

Diamond abrasiveis supplied as a single strips 35mm or 70mm wide or 215x279mm sheets.

Precision Abrasion for Dental and Industrial Needs

Diamond abrasive strips are engineered to deliver consistent and precise abrasion, making them ideal for finishing and shaping hard-to-reach areas. Their flexible construction and range of grit sizes ensure refined, controlled results in demanding environments like dental clinics or industrial workshops.

Versatile Sizes and Flexible Backing

Available in multiple widths and lengths, these strips fit a variety of applications. Whether with a polyester or metallic carrier, they flexibly adapt to different surface contours, allowing efficient finishing on both flat and curved workpieces. Their flexibility is especially valuable for precise dental and orthodontic procedures.

Safe, Durable, and Easy to Use

With diamond content exceeding 95% bonded to a durable yet flexible backing, these abrasive strips are odorless, non-toxic, and autoclavable, assuring safety and hygiene for dental professionals. Each strip is individually packed or available in sets, and with a shelf life of five years or more, they guarantee reliability and convenience.

FAQs of Abrasive strips - Diamond:

Q: How are diamond abrasive strips used in dental and orthodontic practices?

A: Diamond abrasive strips are commonly used for interproximal reduction, contouring, and finishing tooth surfaces in dental and orthodontic applications. Their flexibility and fine grit allow precise material removal while conforming to the natural contours of the teeth.

Q: What benefits do double-sided diamond-coated strips provide?

A: Double-sided diamond-coated strips increase efficiency by allowing both sides of the strip to be used for abrasion, reducing procedure time and offering greater convenience during finishing or contouring in confined spaces.

Q: When is it necessary to sterilize diamond abrasive strips, and how can it be done?

A: For dental use, strips should be sterilized before each patient to prevent cross-contamination. These strips are autoclavable, meaning they can withstand high-temperature steam sterilization according to standard dental practice protocols.

Q: Where should these abrasive strips be stored to maintain their quality and shelf life?

A: To preserve their effectiveness and prolong shelf life, diamond abrasive strips should be stored in dry, cool conditions away from direct sunlight and moisture. Proper storage maintains the diamond grits sharpness and prevents degradation of the backing material.

Q: What process is involved in manufacturing diamond abrasive strips?

A: The manufacturing process involves bonding high-purity diamond grit to either a polyester or metallic flexible backing, using specialized coatings on one or both sides. The strips are cut to precise widths and lengths, ensuring consistent quality and performance.

Q: How does using diamond abrasive strips benefit dental professionals and patients?

A: These strips enable precise, minimally invasive removal and shaping of hard tissue, resulting in smoother, more accurate finishes with less discomfort for patients. Their flexibility and durability enhance workflow efficiency and the overall quality of dental and orthodontic treatments.
