Product Description

Abrasive Strips - Diamond

A range of diamond abrasive strips and sheets with resin-bonded polishing powder on a polyester backing. Waterproof bonding ensures that polishing particles remain fixed to the backing, avoiding unwanted scratches on the surface being prepared. Also available with aluminum oxide and silicon carbide powders.

Diamond abrasive is supplied as a single strips 35mm or 70mm wide or 215x279mm sheets.

Superior Diamond Abrasive Performance

These abrasive strips utilize high-purity diamond grit for exceptional finishing and polishing precision. Their double-sided design and color-coded system (blue for medium, white for fine) enable targeted surface treatments of enamel or composite materials.

Safe and User-Friendly Design

Rounded strip edges and flexible polyester/Mylar backing enhance user comfort and reduce procedural risk. The flexibility makes them ideal for interproximal enamel reduction and precision contouring in hard-to-reach spaces.

Reliable and Hygienic Solutions

Every strip is autoclavable, providing a sterile tool for every procedure. Their water-insolubility, neutral pH, and resistance to degradation ensure consistent performance and a shelf life of up to five years.

FAQs of Abrasive Strips - Diamond:

Q: How should the abrasive strips be sterilized before use?

A: The strips are designed to be autoclavable, allowing safe, effective sterilization prior to each use. Simply follow standard autoclave protocols to ensure they remain hygienic for dental or industrial applications.

Q: What are the primary uses of these diamond abrasive strips?

A: Primarily, these strips are used for manual finishing and contouring of dental restorations, interproximal enamel reduction, and composite polishing. The double-sided diamond coating and flexible design make them ideal for precise and fine surface work.

Q: When is it best to use the medium versus the fine grit side?

A: Use the blue-coded medium grit for initial shaping and contouring, then switch to the white-coded fine grit for the final finishing and polishing stages to achieve a smooth, refined surface.

Q: Where should these strips be stored to ensure longevity?

A: Store the abrasive strips in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Proper storage ensures the strips maintain their diamond coating quality and extend their five-year shelf life.

Q: What benefits do rounded edges and high flexibility provide during procedures?

A: Rounded edges minimize the risk of injury or tissue damage, while the flexible design allows easy access to tight spaces and adapts to the natural tooth contour, ensuring comfort for patients and precision for professionals.

Q: Can these strips be used for both dental and industrial finishing tasks?

A: Yes, these strips are suitable for both dental and selected industrial applications, where high precision and control in finishing or contouring are required, thanks to their durability and versatility.
