Product Description

Tabbed grids offer easier handling and help to avoid contamination, allowing grids to be held securely for spraying, rinsing and drying. The tab can also be bent upwards to ensure the grid can be easily manoeuvred without the tweezers coming into contact with the specimen or any liquids present. Grids can be placed over or underneath the specimen, without surface tension causing the grid to slide up wetted tweezers. Packed in tubes of 100 unless otherwise specified. 3.05 Diameter.

FAQs of Tabbed grids - Copper:

Q: How can tabbed copper grids be customized to fit specific project requirements?

A: Tabbed copper grids are available in various thicknesses (0.12.0 mm), widths (up to 600 mm), and grid patterns. Lengths can be specified as needed, and selections for edge type (straight, deburred, or custom) and surface finish (smooth, matte, or shiny) are available to match unique application requirements.

Q: What processes are involved in manufacturing copper tabbed grids?

A: Copper tabbed grids are produced using high-purity electrolytic copper or oxygen-free copper, shaped through advanced grid-forming and cutting techniques. Each batch can be made per ASTM B152, IS 191, or JIS H3100 standards, ensuring high electrical conductivity and mechanical integrity.

Q: When should tabbed copper grids be used in electrical assemblies?

A: Tabbed copper grids are ideal for applications demanding excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance, and thermal stabilitysuch as battery tabbing, electrical connectors, busbar grids, and energy storage systems. They are especially suited for use in manufacturing circuits and electronic modules.

Q: What are the main benefits of using high-purity copper tabbed grids?

A: They provide outstanding electrical conductivity (>98% IACS), robust thermal stability, excellent corrosion resistance, and reliability in critical components. Additionally, their machinability and customization options offer significant advantages in assembly and overall system performance.

Q: Where are these copper tabbed grids typically supplied from and delivered to?

A: Produced and supplied by manufacturers, dealers, exporters, and traders in the United Kingdom, these grids are available globally. Products are shipped in standard export packaging or as specified by the customer to ensure safe and compliant delivery.

Q: How should tabbed copper grids be stored to maintain their properties?

A: To prevent oxidation and preserve their integrity, copper tabbed grids should be stored in a cool, dry environment. Packaging solutions can be tailored to meet specific storage and shipping needs, further protecting the material during transit and storage.

Q: What is the advantage of using ETP or OFC copper in these grids?

A: Both Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) and Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) types offer high electrical conductivity and enhanced thermal performance, making them optimal for demanding electronic and electrical applications. This ensures the grids meet stringent industry requirements for efficiency and durability.
