Product Description

 Abrasive Strips - Diamond

A range of diamond abrasive strips and sheets with resin-bonded polishing powder on a polyester backing. Waterproof bonding ensures that polishing particles remain fixed to the backing, avoiding unwanted scratches on the surface being prepared. Also available with aluminum oxide and silicon carbide powders.

Diamond abrasive is supplied as a single strips 35mm or 70mm wide or 215x279mm sheets.

Excellent Finishing for Dental Applications

Diamond Abrasive Strips enable precise finishing and polishing of hard materials such as ceramics and composites. Their flexibility and variety in grit size offer tailored performance for both routine and advanced dental procedures.

Reliable Quality and Safety Assurance

Each strip is ISO and CE certified (as applicable), manufactured under stringent quality control, and free from toxins or hazardous substances. Backings in stainless steel or polymer ensure durability, while autoclavable and reusable options promote sustainability in clinical practice.

Easy Identification and User Convenience

Color-coded grit sizes make it simple to select the desired strip quickly. Packaging options range from individual wraps to convenient multi-strip sets, supporting safe storage and easy inventory management in busy dental environments.

FAQs of Abrasive Strips - Diamond:

Q: How should diamond abrasive strips be used for dental shaping and contouring?

A: Diamond abrasive strips are used by gently sliding the strip between teeth or over restoration surfaces to contour, finish, and polish hard materials. Select the correct grit size and edge type, ensuring the area is dry and the strip is properly secured during the procedure.

Q: What are the main benefits of using diamond abrasive strips over conventional abrasive tools?

A: Diamond abrasive strips provide precise finishing, efficient material removal, and less risk of damaging surrounding tissues. Their high diamond purity and grit uniformity deliver consistent results, while flexible backings adapt to tooth contours for greater control.

Q: When should I choose smooth or serrated edge types for abrasive strips?

A: Use smooth-edged strips for general finishing and polishing tasks where delicate surface contact is required. Serrated edges are preferable for initial reduction or when seeking increased efficiency removing excess composite or other materials.

Q: Where are diamond abrasive strips best stored and what is their shelf life?

A: Store the strips in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong solvents. When stored properly, the shelf life is 35 years, as indicated by the manufacturer.

Q: What is the sterilization process for these abrasive strips?

A: Most diamond abrasive strips are autoclavable if specified as reusable by the manufacturer. Always follow the instructions regarding sterilization cycles and temperatures to maintain product integrity and safety.

Q: Are these strips suitable for single-use or can they be reused?

A: The strips are available in both single-use and reusable types. Follow the manufacturers guidance to determine whether a strip can be sterilized and reused, or if it should be disposed of after a single procedure.

Q: How does color coding help in the usage of diamond abrasive strips?

A: Color coding enables immediate identification of the grit size, ensuring that dental professionals can efficiently select the appropriate strip for each procedural step without confusion.
