Product Description

Abrasive Strips - Diamond

A range of diamond abrasive strips and sheets with resin-bonded polishing powder on a polyester backing. Waterproof bonding ensures that polishing particles remain fixed to the backing, avoiding unwanted scratches on the surface being prepared. Also available with aluminum oxide and silicon carbide powders.

Diamond abrasive is supplied as a single strips 35mm or 70mm wide or 215x279mm sheets.

Exceptional Precision with Diamond Abrasives

Crafted to meet the highest standards, these diamond abrasive strips offer exceptional precision and durability for fine finishing tasks. Their flexible design and range of grits make them ideal for intricate abrasive operations, maintaining efficiency whether in dental labs, industrial workshops, or manufacturing lines.

Robust Construction & Long Shelf Life

Backed with flexible stainless steel, aluminum, or polyester, and with diamond content exceeding 98%, the strips promise consistent performance even during rigorous use. When stored in a cool, dry area away from acids and alkalis, they boast a shelf life of up to 5 years, making them a reliable addition to any toolkit.

FAQs of Abrasive Strips - Diamond:

Q: How are diamond abrasive strips typically used in precision environments?

A: Diamond abrasive strips are used for precise grinding, finishing, and polishing of dental and industrial materials. Their flexibility and thinness allow users to access tight spaces and delicate surfaces, ensuring detailed and uniform abrasive action.

Q: What benefits do diamond-coated abrasive strips offer over conventional abrasives?

A: These strips feature diamond particles, which are significantly harder and more durable than traditional abrasives. This allows for faster material removal, longer strip lifespan, and superior finish quality, particularly on hard materials.

Q: When should I select fine, medium, or coarse grit for my application?

A: Fine grits are best for final polishing and finishing, medium for intermediate smoothing, and coarse for initial shaping or quick material removal. Select the grit based on the required finish and the hardness of the material you are working on.

Q: Where can these diamond abrasive strips be used?

A: They are commonly utilized in dental laboratories for finishing composite or ceramic restorations, as well as in industrial settings for polishing metals, ceramics, or hard composites. Their versatility makes them suited for various professional environments.

Q: What is the process for applying the diamond abrasive to the strips?

A: The diamond abrasive layer is applied using electroplating for strong adhesion or resin-bonding for flexible applications. This ensures that the diamond particles remain firmly attached during operation, providing consistent performance.

Q: How should diamond abrasive strips be stored to maximize shelf life?

A: Store the strips in a dry, cool area away from acids and alkalis. Proper storage conditions preserve the integrity of the diamond coating and backing material, maintaining a shelf life of up to 5 years.
