Product Description

 Abrasive Strips - Diamond

A range of diamond abrasive strips and sheets with resin-bonded polishing powder on a polyester backing. Waterproof bonding ensures that polishing particles remain fixed to the backing, avoiding unwanted scratches on the surface being prepared. Also available with aluminum oxide and silicon carbide powders.

Diamond abrasive is supplied as a single strips 35mm or 70mm wide or 215x279mm sheets.

Flexible Diamond Abrasive Strips for Precision Applications

Designed for professionals in the dental, jewelry, ceramic, and precision engineering industries, these diamond abrasive strips offer the flexibility needed for detailed work. Their construction uses a resilient plastic or metal backing and electroplated or resin bonded diamond particles for uniform abrasive action. Whether refining delicate surfaces or smoothing hard materials, these strips provide reliable, efficient results without sacrificing control or longevity.

High Performance and Durability

Abrasive Strips - Diamond are engineered to deliver consistent performance under demanding conditions. The high purity diamond grit ensures effective material removal, while the flexible substrate accommodates various contours and shapes. Resistant to wear and operating at temperatures up to 600C, these strips are suitable for repeated use in industrial environments, providing a long shelf life and robust construction.

FAQs of Abrasive Strips - Diamond:

Q: How should diamond abrasive strips be stored to maintain their quality and shelf life?

A: It is recommended to store diamond abrasive strips in a clean, dry environment away from corrosive chemicals to ensure they remain effective for up to 5 years, as per industrial and ISO standards.

Q: What types of surfaces can benefit from using these diamond abrasive strips?

A: These strips are ideal for finishing and smoothing hard surfaces in dental, jewelry, ceramic, and precision engineering industries. They are particularly effective on materials that require precise and uniform polishing.

Q: When is it appropriate to choose a particular grit size for these strips?

A: Select extra fine grit (30 m) for delicate polishing and fine finishing, while coarser grit (up to 200 m) is best for faster material removal or initial smoothing of rough surfaces.

Q: Where are these diamond abrasive strips most commonly utilized?

A: They are primarily used in professional settings such as dental laboratories, jewelry workshops, precision engineering facilities, and ceramic processing units throughout the United Kingdom and globally.

Q: What is the process for using these flexible diamond strips effectively?

A: To use, apply gentle and consistent pressure while moving the strip across the surface to be polished. Their flexibility allows adaptation to curves and contours, optimizing contact and abrasive action.

Q: What are the main benefits of choosing diamond-coated strips over traditional abrasives?

A: Diamond-coated strips offer high wear resistance, uniform grit distribution, and excellent finishing quality. They are durable, odorless, and maintain effectiveness at elevated temperatures, outperforming conventional abrasive materials in demanding applications.
