Product Description

A range of Aluminium Oxide abrasive strips and sheets with resin-bonded polishing powder on a polyester backing. Waterproof bonding ensures that polishing particles remain fixed to the backing, avoiding unwanted scratches on the surface being prepared. Also available with diamond and silicon carbide powders.

Aluminum Oxide abrasive are supplied as a pack of 10 strips 35mm or 70mm wide or single 215x279mm sheets.

Precision Surface Finishing

These aluminium oxide abrasive strips excel in achieving uniform surface finishes across an array of dental and industrial materials. Their high purity and diverse grit sizes ensure effective performance, whether youre preparing, smoothing, or polishing intricate surfaces. The flexible backing grants superior bendability, making these strips particularly efficient for contoured or curved workpieces.

Versatile in Dental and Industrial Applications

Available in industrial and dental grades, these abrasive strips are designed for versatility. They can be used manually or in machines, adapting seamlessly to different working environments. Their high tensile strength ensures they withstand rigorous use, while the water-insoluble, odorless formulation maintains safety and ease of use for operators.

FAQs of Abrasive strips - Aluminium Oxide:

Q: How should I store aluminium oxide abrasive strips to maintain their shelf life?

A: It is best to store abrasive strips in a cool, dry place, away from moisture. Proper storage in their original boxed or roll packaging can extend their shelf life up to 3 years.

Q: What grit sizes are available for these abrasive strips and how do I choose the right one?

A: These strips are available in grit sizes ranging from P60 (coarse) to P2000 (very fine). Select a coarser grit for heavy material removal and a finer grit for polishing or finishing tasks, depending on your application requirements.

Q: When are aluminium oxide abrasive strips typically used in dental or industrial processes?

A: They are ideal for surface finishing, smoothing, and polishing dental appliances or industrial parts, particularly when precision and adaptability to curved surfaces are needed.

Q: Where can these abrasive strips be applied for effective results?

A: You can use these strips on a wide range of substrates, including metals, ceramics, composites, and resins. Their flexibility makes them especially suitable for detailed work on curved or contoured surfaces.

Q: What benefits do aluminium oxide abrasive strips offer over other abrasive materials?

A: Aluminium oxide strips deliver high tensile strength and flexibility, offering durability and consistent results. Their inertness (insoluble in water, odorless, tasteless) and neutrality (pH~7) add to their safety and reliability, making them suitable for both dental and industrial environments.

Q: How should these abrasive strips be used for optimal results?

A: Use them manually or with a suitable machine, applying even pressure along the target surface. Always select the right grit and width for your specific task to achieve the desired finish efficiently.
